looking to get my first airsoft need opinions pls :D
So im looking into getting my first airsoft airgun here and Im down to 2 selections, the first is the G&G M4 CQB ADVANCED and the other one is from a company that is fairy new to my knowledge the SRC M4 CQB (gen 3)
both have almost the same price, the g&g one comes with battery and is 448 CAD the SRC is 460 and to my knowledge (its not listed but may) doesn't come with a battery. both can be found on this page at 007 airsoft, http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/aeg.htm (more specifically sku for g&g is 10224b and for the src 10306 So please guys I could use all the input I can get, Thankyou. |

Assuming your 18 years old, I'd say they are about the same. G&G are alright guns, but the advanced comes with better internals, so it's a great starting gun. SRC's new batch of guns, I've read are great as well.

SRC guns are a great starting out door gun.
Personally Id recommend a stock TM or other such "weaker" gun to get used to and learn the basics from that. Though that takes getting AV so that might be a good step for you if you are 18+

umm, im 22. Hey for the cylinder head, plastic or aluminum? which would be better
also in the G&G it has "silver type low resistance" wiring whereas the src has just "high heat type" the other major difference I see is the barrel, its 6.04mm silver electroplated in the G&G and in the src just 6.05 mm, does any of these make a big judgement factor in which I should get? Quote:

With internals, metal is always better than plastic. As regards to the guns, if you can I'd recommend a high quality gun like TM, CA, G&P... worth the extra.

Not when it comes to piston heads... Every tech has their own opinions about this one -- But I don't use metal piston heads unless my client wants his gun to be very loud.

I dont really have the extra thats the problem lol, and I thought getting those in canada was practically impossible since the receiver needs to be clear, or are they?

It is nearly impossible to import them, but if you get age verified, which shouldn't be a problem if your 22, you can easily find them.

Seriously, one has 30 wins while the other has 2. I don't know for you but there's a clear winner there...

I dont see how this was posted wrong, its in the airsoft gun discussion... these are two guns that were discussing to figure out which one would be better. Im leaning in favor twoards the SRC now but the thing is and this is a key one, the wiring in the g&g is better but I wonder how important that is.

It's pretty important...bad wiring=battery problems=no pew pew. If that's the only thing that's the deciding factor, go for the better one, but it can be replaced for pretty cheap.
