Nomex/Kevlar Hoods
Hello All,
How much would a Nomex or Kevlar hood protect against a shot to the noggin? Are they better/worse than neoprene?

Bleeders are cool and chicks dig scars, so I wouldn't be too concerned. Honestly, though, it comes down to fabric thickness - the thicker the material the more energy it will absorb, thus protecting your melon. If you go too thick you won't feel the BB at all, which is bad.
Wear your eye protection and call your hits! ![]()

Don't forget that wearing thicker cloth reduces the rate at which you expel heat, meaning that you will overheat more quickly and you are far more likely to fog up.
