Allied Terms and Definitions

Well after posting AAP-6 for Map Symbols, I figured I might as well post terms and definitions as well. Enjoy!

Now DND doesn't have a published document per say, we have a Jont Terminology Database on the DIN, but the nice folks at Army.ca have prepared a useful guide. http://army.ca/words/?function=showall *

The fun one is US JP-01-2 Department of Defense Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms. This is where you'll find your shit hot terms like "kill box" and "beam rider"
http://www.dtic.mil/doctrine/jel/new_pubs/jp1_02.pdf

UK MoD's version Joint Doctrine Pub 0-01.1, very similar to NATO but noted where different. http://www.mod.uk/NR/rdonlyres/E8750...JDP0011Ed7.pdf

Again, NATO AAP-6 NATO GLOSSARY OF TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

* Note in a completely self-serving aside, on the front page they list ADM (HR-Mil), which has been superceded by Chief of Military Personnel or MILPERSCOM depending on context.
