custom p226 grips
Are there any out there for airsoft? I dont mean hogue rubber ones. Ive seen some nice real steel hogue stuff but i don't think it'll fit like this one i guess http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?...oducts_id=4736

You'll have to dremmel a real steel grip to fit. The question is how much material will have to be removed.
Using the stock TM P226 hammer spring housing, you'll have to do a ridiculous amount of dremmeling of the RS grips to get them to fit. If you can get yourself a real steel P226 hammer spring housing (try Brownells), which will fit TM P226, you'll have to do significantly less dremmeling.

hmm... sounds like a wooden grip would be alot easier to work with then.

most real steel grips should fit an Airsoft 226. I have SIG grips on my KWA PTP 226. no problems

could be...I don't have experience with other 226s....but based on experience with other real steel parts on airsoft...if you are reasonably handy and have some basic tools like files or exacto knives....you can make things work....

The KWA P226 is an unique design unrelated to the TM P226. I really wouldn't be surprised that the KWA P226 can take RS grips without modification.
However, if this is a TM P226 we're talking about, use a dremmel to save yourself a lot of time and tears.

Depends which grip we're talking about. I've only worked on the HOGUE rubber ones. I can't really point out areas off the top of my head, it's essentially a trial and error process. There's a write up on the process over at Arnies airsoft, but I don't have the link saved anymore.
Edit: Found it. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...5&st=0&start=0
