Grease for a springer assembly?
Hi guys, I disassembled the internal of my Type 96 and noticed that there is a lot of, what look likes to me, vaseline (petrol jelum) all inside the cylinder, the spring guide, in the spring, and on the piston. (also on the external, tapper head, receveir). So things are smooth. I will shortly receive a new internal that will be, of course, dry. What kind of grease to use the coat everythings and what quantity? . Thank you very much and I did a search on this forum and wasn't satsified.

It's not petroleum jelly, it's a silicone grease. Vaseline will eat your rubber seals. Only use petroleum-free silicone grease in your airsoft guns, regardless of them being spring, electric, or gas.

First, thank you crunchmeister for spelling petroleum jelly for me
Ok, I'll go silicone grease, I guess that you don't need to put too much inside since what we want is less frictio, not more and nor we want to fire grease silicone bbs ![]() |

Don't put too much grease in it, or it will fint it's way in the piston and mess your hopup.
