you might be able to find an eg1000 clone motor on ebay for 5 to 10 dollars.
i needed to get one and the first time the guy had one listed he was selling it for 9 something and then the second time he had one for buy it now for 5 something. im still kickin myself for missing both of the auctions. just do yourself an ebay search for airsoft motor and see if theres anything for you

i saw a ca high torque and a probable eg1000 clone on ebay just now. each selling for roughly 25 dollars and i think they both might have been long types

I've heard good things about the Guarder Infinite Torque Up motor: But if you have the bling, get a Systema Magnum Motor.

Get a TM then. Quality, reliability, etc.

Is it really nessessary to change the motor?

well, the easier way would be to just change the battery.
I'd go with Guarder Infinite, it's very strong |

wont that just eventually make your motor crap out if you keep putting in a stronger battery when it wears out a little?
i have had to do that with an aeg or two when the batteries theyre sposed to run on dont run them efficiently enough and i dont really like using a stronger battery

I love my G&P motors - I have 6 of them, and all 3 types (3 high speed M120, 2 high torque M140, and 1 Supercharger M160). Great motors for the money.

another thing.. they need to stop putting the soldered on wires on the short type motors on v3's and start making more of them with removable connectors like on v2 long types
