Suggestions Please.
So you guys will probably look at my post count and think I'm a total noob. Well, you're right. I've been looking through online catalogs for the past week or two looking for a gun that fits. My main concerns are fps, reliability and of course cost. So here I am asking for suggestions.
I'd like something around the range of 350+fps. Preferably an assault rifle like a 47 or M16. I'm pretty much a noob at everything so if you think my fps requirement is to high feel free to tell me I'm retarded and should go for a realistic gun. I'm mostly going to be doing forest campaigns and urban, so I'd like something will a little pepper. Also can anyone tell me how far a 350 fps .12g BB will fly straight shot, without pointing the barrel up? Next of course is reliability. I'm am extremely afraid of buying a piece of crap that 'll break in 2 weeks. It should be preferably mostly metal. Respond from your own experiance and point of view I guess. And last and probably most importantly is cost. I'll be looking for something in the 150-220 range. I also realize that the perfect answer to all of this would be an AK-47. But the problem with that is that 2 of my friends already have those and I don't want to seem like a tool. Plus they'd get pissed. So here I am a total noob asking for some help. Thanks in advance. |

for 150-220 you won't get much in Canada. A kraken ak-47 would be your best bet, especially if you aren't 18.
The best advice if you're serious about airsofting is to save your money until you are 18, and then buy something really good that won't crap out on you.

The criteria posted up above will probably get you an Aftermath Kraken, or, if an Armalite tickles your fancy, a used JG clone.
Heed this advice, Krakens and clones alike have really shoddy quality control, some could be better than others. If I were you, I would save up for a gun in which quality is assured. KWA, CA, G&G, and so on are companies that make "premium" AEG's, you would be better off buying them as a noob and not having to tinker with them as much than buying a clone or a china gun and having to tinker with them out of the box. |

I'm sorry
![]() Airsoft in canada is rediculously expensive :/ Expect 2-3 times the price of what you see on websites like "airsoft gi"

A full size G36 is going to cost around $500-$600+ in Canada, a K might be a little less but not much. A JG G36C is going to cost about $350.

It's called PM Hobby craft.
It's a CYMA. I have no idea if that's any good, but I tried it out and it's beautiful to fire. Only annoying thing is the scroll, because if you forget you're only shooting air. |

To my knowledge CYMA is an "ok" brand...not as good as an Echo 1 or JG but definitly better than something you'd pick up from walmart.
