Hi ppl,
I just bought a TM mp5. It's a used weapon that never saw any wargame.. Anyways, the point is I have no battery at the moment. I'm wondering what voltage I have to buy. An 8.4V or 9.6V? I am very confused since on 007airsoft it's written 8.4V in details, but I heard you can put an 9.6V... Who is right?

They are both right you might say. The manual says to use an 8.4v.
However you can use higher. The higher voltage will make your ROF (Rate of Fire) go higher (Contact BB Bastards) I had a MP5K with a 1000 round drum mag where I had quick gears, 1000 motor and a 10.8v Bat. and man that was fracking fast. |

If it takes a mini battery, use an 8.4 as I believe that's all you can fit in there. If it's a large battery go for 8.4v, it will give you a higher rate of fire than the mini battery, and you won't have to buy torque up gears if you want it to shoot higher than 350fps.

I know with an 9.6 i'll have a great rpm, but will it damage the motor?

No, but you'll shread your gears and piston very quickly. But, some people are into that sort of thing, even if they have to replaced those parts between games.

How about the Classic Army MP5 and G36?
I've read that is fine to have a 9.6V battery on a stock CA G36 and MP5 since the classic army have pre upgraded internals (particularly the G36). is that true? Would a 9.6v battery damage the internals of the classic army g36 or mp5? |
