AK-47 Wood Weathering
Alright so I'm currently trying to weather my AK from this guide my friend gave me.
In the guide, I'm currently at a step where the wood is dark, like blackish dark, but in the next step, linseed oil is applied and the wood looks better. So here's my question: does linseed oil bring out the color in wood? |

You want to weather an ak?
Tie it to a string and drag it along the ground on a rocky road. |

It is a wood stock conversion tho... I'm weathering wood, not plastic

The stuff you're doing to your gun is probably for plastic grips. Just sand the whole thing down, stain it whatever you want and beat the shit out of it (don't overdue it, let the wood weather itself, it looks too 'controlled' when done purposely.)
