NEW TO AIRSOFT -Advice on guns?

Hey guys, I am 19 years old, from windsor, ON and brand new to airsoft. I just have a few questions about some guns, and stuff, i was hoping you guys could help me answer... everyone else here seems pretty pro, and knows what they are talking about...

Anyways... I just bought a TF7 MP7 (MP7 Marui Clone) from Buyairsoft.ca and I was wondering if you guys could tell me the pros and cons of this gun.

Also, I was wondering, what velocity of a gun do you feel hurt when you get hit? And like, what velocity can break CDs and popcans. Just some curious things I would like to know. Also, could anyone recommand some GOOD Airsoft guns to me? I like electric semi/full auto, and some spring guns with high FPS. I prefer not to use gas guns. Could someone give me some recommandations (keeping in mind I am not Bill Gates)

THANKS ALOT! ^_^

Cancel your order, if you can.

You've just paid almost 200$ for a clear piece of crap.

The TM MP7 isn't a bad gun per sea, but it is underpowered for most applications outside of cqb. I dare not imagine what a no name clone will give you in terms of performance.

You best be would be to bite the bullet and buy reputable equipement from other retailers, since there is no way to cheap your way into Canadian airsoft. If you really want to get a bargain, get age verified and browse the classifieds.

What surebet said, cancell that order if you can. For a first airsoft gun, stick to the name brands like Tokyo Marui, Classic Army, ICS, etc.

You'll feel "hurt" if shot from any airsoft gun at close range. From an upgraded gun it stings like a bitch for about 30 seconds, stings normally for a few minutes, then you don't really notice it. All part of the game.

Noone can recommend a gun to you. Most proper airsoft guns perform very similar out of the box, so it really depends on what you like. I suggest you get to a game before you buy and check out other people's equipment, ask questions, etc. Airsoft players are more than happy to show off their stuff, and very helpful.

Thanks for the input guys. Ummmm just wondering though, have any of you used the TF7 before? Its suppose to be about 300fps. ANd i know im not near as pro as you guys. I just want a gun that can fire more than say, 15m. As in, "backyard airsoft" kinda deal. Of course this is only my first experimental airsoft gun. I still don't know the pros and cons of it though. If someone who used it before, or has expert knowledge on it could help me out with that, it would be awsome! THANKS ALOT GUYSS!! xD

I hope you are aware the AEG you bought is not the black version, but the clear one shown at the bottom left of the photo displayed on buyairsoft.ca.

look man, most of the veteran airsofters here started before all this crapsoft was introduced. We don't know the pro's and con's because none of us have wanted to buy it. Infact we've been trying to prevent people from buying it. Simply said, it's crap, you get what you pay for. We actually had a guy return a firepower AK-47 because he thought it was broken: gun shot about 40 feet and was real innacurate, it wasn't broken, it's just crap, he got what he paid for.
