Still possible to find tetrafluoroethane?
It seems all of the duster gas around is Difluoroethane. I did a search and there are alot of people who have posted links to places to buy Tetrafluoroethane based duster but all of the links were out of date.
Can anyone share their sourse for Tetrafluoroethane-based duster gas? HFC134a Thanks. |

![]() Your best way is going to the actual store and taking a look at it for yourself. Read the back label it should say if it's di or tetra. |

I found some at an electronic surplus store.
Branded "MG Chemicals", content description says "Tetrafluoretane" Can't remember exacltly what ws the name they gave it, something along the lines of "Super Duster ###" Only place I found some. At the radio shack thing I only found difluo.... or just get a propane adaptor... ran a plastic slide for a while on it.... when it breaks, you have save enought from using propane to buy a new metal slide... *edit* jsut realized that was the same thing.... thx Identity! |

Thanks, found a place local to me that stocks that exact product. It's also the same product Identity is selling.
These guys are 17 minutes away from me on Google earth. *select 'chemicals' and then 'compressed air' It says they have 170 cans in stock. That should about cover me. |

You can always check the label when you get to the store. You don't need to buy an adapter. I just take the straw, cut off a piece, stick it in the nozzle, and then epoxy around the gap.
