Lightweight Mid range AEG
Hi guys,
I am looking for my next gun, I would like a better quality gun. But I dont like heavy gun, I dont mind using a nylon or abs AEG. Right now my idea is to get an G&G TR4 CQB-H for 400$ (good quality and ok weight). Does someone know another gun ( v2 or v3 gearbox) with a lightweight and good value/quality ? A TR4 CQB-H is an AR, not a Scar.
I picked up a similar G&G platform, their CQBR, as my first gun. It was a great gun |

Ares AM-013 if you're into that kind of thing and run lipos.

My advice is to start lifting weights.
2.5kg is not heavy at all. |

Thanks to all,
@scottyfox I like the Amoeba, but I prefer the M4-CCR version. @ThunderCactus Actually, I am fit. It's only my personnal preference to use light weapon. By the way, wich gun is 2.5 Kg ? Last edited by Enthusiast; January 31st, 2015 at 22:51.. |

The G&G is 2.5kg
A marui P90, which everyone would consider a "light" gun, is 2200g The AUG, which many people also consider a "light" gun, is 3400g The KC-02, which is a ruger .22, is 2750g In fact, even the old plastic receiver, 3pc barrel marui M4A1 is still 2700g Most M4's out there range from 3.2 to 4.5kg So that G&G is about as light as it gets Last edited by ThunderCactus; February 1st, 2015 at 00:22.. |

2.5 kg? that's not even 6 pounds. There's almost nothing in that weight range. I'm with cactus.... start working out more. Play smarter, get smarter support gear. Most guns are going to be 8 or more pounds, even the polymer real steel ones.
What gun do you have that's significantly heavier? if you say sr25 I'm going to laugh at you. In some cases the gun's weight is not the problem, it's the balance of the gun. The longer it is, the more weight you have to support when you shoot it. Shorter guns are better. Bullpups are the easiest to handle in terms of weight because they are much more back heavy and balance better when in a shooting position. More rail attachments = more weight.

Thus everyone thinks the aug is a light gun, when it's really just all rear balanced lol
So yeah, just get the G&G, it's a featherweight |

The lightest gun I can think of would either be a S&T Tavor, bullpup, all plastic build and plastic gearbox shell, or a Lancer tactical M4 which both the barrel and buffer tube are plastic.
Sadly both guns are fairly shitty though.

One last GG for the road: http://youtu.be/vfDlvlTR-AU
I would recommend a mp5k variant if you want something light. |

As previously mentioned the longer the gun is the heavier it will feel to carry because of the balance, bullpups will seem lighter even if they weigh the same because the weight is up against your body.
Models I would recommend: MP5 / UMP / G36C / P90 / Sig 552 / Tavor / CBQ length M4 / FN2000 The weight will vary depending on the brand |
