m203, is it worth it?

Im dying to get my hands on a 203 launcher for my m4. I do have 350 to burn but is it honestly worth it?

if you want the m203 get it.. honestly its more for looks then for its function. you will VERY rarely use it, especially the gas operated ones. and it adds more weight to your gun.

up to you .. its your money =)
you could use $350 to upgrade your AEG OR buy another AEG after you save another $150 more

Id have to agree
I like the looks of the M203
A guy on my team has 2-3 M203s on his rifles, a 6 grenade street-sweeper and close to 15 grenades.
A few other guys at our local fields have M203s
and I have never, in 2 seasons, seen a single M203 kill.

Upgrade your gun, upgrade your gear.

M203's are nice, even nicer if you can find grenades to buy.

i have a spring one, i like it.

cheap, good backup (used it in games when my AEG died from a short) and since its more or less the same as a shotgun, its still gameworthy. i got mine used for less than 200, and think it was worth it. plus there's always the badass factor.

after a day of toting that thing around, you can feel your shoulders getting stronger besides :P

It's not worth it, watch a couple videos i think its effective range is like 20 meters. Just adds weight and make your aiming unsteady.

Agreed. It's mostly for looks & effect, but even when loaded with .12g BBs, the effective range is 50ft on propane, and not a kill has been had with any of them. Has been attempted, but always at too far a distance. And most guys won't call hit when a BBs rolls along the ground and bumps into his toe.

For the most part I agree with Mattmayhem. But I have managed five confirmed with my M203.It can be a tactical lever if used right.

I only see it useful in CQB situations where someone would be moving from point A-B for cover, i guess you could shoot the m203 in his direction and it would likely get him..seeing how the vast majority of bbs are scattered in about a 1-2 foot diameter at about 15-20 feet.
