Thoughts On G&P
Hi all,
Looking to get a g&p and everybodys opinions seem to be different on other web sites and wanted to know what you guys think. I Was looking at the g&p sentry in particular. So to sum it up what are your general thoughts of the brand internally and externally. |

Externally, they're fantastic. However, the one's I've seen locally are hit and miss with internal quality.

G&P makes very nice guns(no wobble, great rof and nicely finished externals), although in the past they have had some problems internally. If you know how to work with gearboxes there shouldn't be too big of a problem.

The externals more than make up for any internal problems. We all know of or are a gundoc that can take out a few cheap parts and replace them with better ones. None of us can make the bodies as good as G&P does.

G&P M14 DMR - absolute junk. My gripe with my G&P experience is likely well known, and disagreed with by some, but i'll stand by my "not recommended" classification. Gearbox (blew from the start), receiver (broke in half, porous pot metal) and other metallurgical and major QC issues rendered mine junk by the end of it's first game. Spending some time researching (which i should have done before buying) will show others have had similar issues with the G&P M14. The M14 was produced in 2008, so perhaps it's a QC issue that goes back some time from the present, and things have improved since with G&P's other gun models.
I have no other experience with G&P's other gun models in it's product line, so cannot comment further. |

My MK14 Mod 1 (EBR) has seen more than 5 games and it is still like new. I tripped and fell on top on the rifle and broke just the selector switch. My buddy has a M14 DMR that he gamed twice, nothing wrong w/ it. So i think it's just that u happened to get a bad one. Other than TM, i don't think there is a better M14 than the G&P.

I purchased a Simple G&P M4 in FG just the past march, and other then stripping a piston after nearlty 50k bbs, Everything has been rock solid!
I belive the piston stripping to be in part the high speed motor witch, and the fact that it being my first gun I hammerd the shit out of it with long sprays and impropper care. I would buy G&P again, and recomend it to new players.
