ARL Tip
So I know this is my first post but I've been messing around in my v2 gearbox and yes the anti reversal latch can be very very complicated but I have found an excellent tool for keeping it in place and it came from my fly tying kit.

If its only getting pulled half way back it sounds like your battery is improperly charged/too weak. That or its improperly shimmed and the gears aren't spinning freely.
