I haven't upgraded at all, I guess the bushings and reshimming are a good start as well as the sorbopad.

The Broxa won't last long shooting that hot, 350fps tops. Anything over that will eventually break the mechbox and you won't be able to utilize the fps for range with such a short barrel anyhow. The MP5 platform isn't a long range gun. Be better to get it to shoot accurately for the 100' or so range it has. A tightbore is the first order of business, matched with a decent hopup sleeve & bucking. What's the fps now?

I'm interested in purchasing a 6.03 mm tightbore for my Broxa but I've read that some tightbore barrels have a slightly 'belled' end, as the inner barrel squeezes through a tight space in the outer barrel near the muzzle on the broxa I was wondering if I would be able to fit a tightbore through there or is the belling just an adjustment of the boring process leaving the diameter of the inner barrel consistent on the outside?

Don't cut the Madbull barrels...unless you have really sharp bits/blades.
The mad bull MP5 barrel is too long for the broxa and aftermath outer barrels. Either drill out the ridge in the outer barrel (doesn't do anyting anyways) or cut your inner barrel to length. Don't cut any barrel with a pipe cutter. Hacksaw, file, counter sink (aka crown) with a large drill bit. Stainless steel barrels are obviously really hard to cut. |

I cut mine fine, but I guess I have the advantage of being able to use steel lathe!
Ditto on NOT using a pipe cutter- it will pinch the end and make the inside of the barrel too small to fit the BB through. Other option is to drill out the outer barrel, so that the inner barrel sticks out, and then attach a suitable flash suppressor. Then again, all this is so much easier if you have access to proper tools. If you're cutting your barrel, DON'T hold is in a vise, and just take your time to get a nice clean cut and finish the edge off with some steel wool. My $0.02 on this thread so far? The first thing that you should do with your Broxa to make it a better gun, is to change out the barrel & hop up rubber, and to put in metal bushings and shim the gears. |
