Basically you open up the mag and you'll see the blow-out valve (the valve that gets damaged when the pressure of the propane gets too high, and then it vents). You take it out make some score marks to make the glue hold better, and fill it with JB Weld. There's a pictoral DIY on the web somewhere but I don't have the link.
You can also buy cheap (in the states) $20 STTI mags which will take Propane/Green gas fine. |

Yeah, it's pretty easy. I filled mine with clear silicone caulk.
Note that to take the mag apart, you have to knock out two pins (like most GBB mags) and also drill out a third half pin (not so much like most GBB mags).

I used silicone on mine as well.
Drilling out the center pin takes the longest, probably about 30 sec. Only drill down enough to make it past the width of the mag wall, a few mm. you'll be able to see it once you get started. |

does doing this also give the mags a higher velocity? i've read in another thread that it can give it almost 60+ fps. what is the usual fps on the socom?

MK23 shoots 320 on average... There's no way doing this could give you 60+ FPS... unless you install high-flow valves.
