Hello guys
During the course of my L119A1 project, I'll eventually need to replace the receiver. I was thinking of either buying it from Dragonred or getting a blank one and engraving it myself. However, my workbase is an M4 CQB by ICS, so how does their gearbox fit on to other bodies? Does anyone have any experience trying so? Thanks! |

don't use ICS M4 as the base, their externals aren't fully TM compatible.
Many things uses different design on theirs based on the split mechbox design. |

TM and ICS mechboxes and lowers are NOT compatible.

hmmm, I anticipate major body work to make it pass for an L119 then...

Actually, lower body work would not be that extensive. Is it the upper that CANNOT be changed/modified to fit. The way a "TM" upper is made and an "ICS" one is too different to actually fit.
Best bet would be to get an ICS body, sandblast it and have the marking re-done + anodizing. That way you would have a lot less issues with fitment and you would still have a reliable rifle. |

Either that, or have your current ICS receiver sandblasted to remove the finish, and get the proper Diemaco trademarks engraved, then repaint the body. That's your best bet, really.
