Agreed, never butcher a good gun. It's the bad advice that was given to you that I had to correct. (Unless you are a licensed gunsmith, and even then).
As for getting Lee Enfield parts, it's not hard at all. You can get anything you want except the receiver. Just have to shop in the right places. |

Well making one is alot cheaper then paying 960 british pounds.Thats
about 2000$ cdn.And that is without shipping and custom seizer. |

that is so true. its sad we didn't get any credit...he left canada and went to the states...did you know the Patton once said that the Garand was the greatest battle rifle?

A Lee Enfield would be cool. I have a real 1917 No.3 Mk I that was unfortunately 'sporterized' by my grandfather back in the 20s by removing the "extra wood". I'd love to have an airsoft version of the original military version with all the wood intact.
