Thing on the right is the nubbin
It goes in the actual hop up unit (there is a small space for it about halfway in), The hole runs perpendicular to the travel of the BB, it isn't held in by anything so you have to turn the unit and roll it in with our finger. Can be a pain in the arse...

I don't think I've ever heard someone calling the nub the bucking before. All instances of bucking I've seen thus far refers to the sleeve.

I've repeatedly seen it called the bucking/packing/nubbin before and have called it bucking/packing/little tubular thingy. Best to describe to new players the sleeve is a sleeve, and the little tubular thingy is just that. And not to LOSE it!

sleeve and bucking are interchangeable. Its the part that actually touches the B as it passes down the barrel.
The nubbin is what gets pushed into the bucking to create the bulge in the sleeve/bucking that the BB grazes to get backspin. The best way not to be confused is to know the proper names and use them.

If the little bit is anything like the vsr it can be made by cutting the ink tube of a pen
