An airsoft copy of the brown bess or Charleville muskets?

Nope. I'd like to be proven wrong though, as that would be something amusing to see.

Never seen such a thing.
Would be easy to do. Not to mention: Fully legal!

A real Flintlock is considered a Primitive weapon, and needs no PAL to purchase

The problem would be the caliber. Passing from .75 to .30 would require a major change to the barrel and far more mass (to fill the space difference).
You could maybe use a system similar to the Marui shotguns? It is illegal to convert a real firearm of any type to shoot something else than what it was designed for unless you are a gunsmith with the proper licenses. For reenacting, the other problem would be to get the blackpowder explosion AND the bb coming out in the same system. There are also rules prohibiting any projectile use at such events. I have a few blue print designs for civil war muskets that are gas powered
Reloading them is the same as loading a real steel musket - the black powder There's a few things missing from the equations like what inner barrel to slide in. and there's still more research to make it work just right. but if i got my hands on a 6mm revolver a lathe and some nice wood as well as a mill I could make the shell. I have a feeling for the most realistic it would take a psg1 inner barrel What I need to finalise the blueprints is a 6mm revolver. after that its a working blueprint. the methods are based on the same as a revolver. Literately the musket design is a modified revolver. Give it time and there will be one for colectors.(not like a musket is too tactical.) |
