Removing VFC Barrel Nut

Can anyone give recommendations on how to remove a vfc barrel nut? I have a 416, which doesn’t have a standard nut. There are two holes on the nut that can be used to torque the nut off with, but my AR wrench doesn’t have the proper applicator. The nut is also a polymer, and any punch pin or Allen key I’ve tried warps/breaksnthe polymer.

I’m guessing I need to use a torch to heat up the bit first in case there’s any glue on the threads? Do I need to use a dremmel to cut the nut off as well?
