Umarex HK G36V by S&T/ARES
Recently I've become interested in this gun, but it's really hard to find a review from someone who's owned the gun or gamed it for a while. Most reviews and videos on the gun are all just information about the gun and first time shooting, no long-term stuff. Anyone have personal stories using this gun? I'd like to hear them.

I got an Umarex (S&T) G36C and it's been my workhorse ever since for about 4 years now. I'm not sure if this is a fair review since I got a basic mosfet and upgraded compression parts right off the bat (cylinder, cylinder head, piston, piston head, nozzle). I disabled the blow-back to reduce stress on the gearbox. Over the years, I also upgraded the barrel and hop-up, not because they were broken, but just because. Running on 7.4V lipo.
Excellent externals. The polymer body is high quality and I haven't seen any noticeable wear or damage yet. I noticed the trigger felt a bit funny after a while (too much resistance on the pull), not sure why. I lubed and shaped the arm that activates the microswitch and it's a lot smoother now. The ambi selector has a little bit of play but the left side and right side is pretty well connected. Going into full auto is a bit vague, I have to make sure I push it all way. If it's even a little bit out of FA, it'd shoot semi. I got this AEG during a X'mas special for $200. The best $200 I've ever spent.
