Compatibility Questions

Hey all,

I've been browsing around looking at different options for purchase (can't believe I still haven't got myself age verified... Some day), and I'm having a hard time finding guns and parts that match them while browsing online retailers (I know I shouldn't use online retailers, but, I like browsing).

So, my question is, how compatible are parts from different manufacturers?

If I buy, for example, and Echo1 AK-47, would CYMA magazines fit in it? Or an A.K.M. Scope Mount? I'm just not sure how careful I need to be finding parts, or if different manufacturers do things differently. Hopefully, once I get age verified, I'll just be able to get a more complete package from a vendor, but, we'll see!

The more brands you mix, and the less expensive they are the better the chances are that something will not connect or line up quite right.

Magazines are fairly standard across most brands.
