Airsoft in the winter ?

We all know that the AK is the best and most reliable and most robust and the best looking rifle in the world. Plus in airsoft terms they have a version 3 mech box. I haven't seen one break in the winter yet. So.....

Get yerself an AK and be happy, go out, freeze yer ballz off and have a gay old time (cough) with your AK.

Do you think I would be fine running a version 2 gearbox with a modify sp110 spring in it in Victoria/Vancouver?

You'll most probably be fine.
Still depends on what gun... But there should be no problems.

IMO 10-15c and you'll notice loss of range and gas capacity. I've played in 0C weather and was lucky to get a shot or two off but lacked range. at 10C I think my WE p14 managed a whole mag but it's also because my propane tank accidentally mixed with a bit of CO2 when I was topping off nades.

If you keep GBB mags warm with hand warmers then they work a bit better than cold.

Just run at them and yell pew pew

I was wondering about the case of Gas BA rifles. I would prefer yelling pew pew from longer distances.

Cmon man, I'm sure a big guy like you can yell loud enough to snipe. In all seriousness it's all about figuring a way to keep the gas in the mag as warm as possible. I guess with a BA you could have your mag in a BDU pocket with a few hand warmers around it and put it in your rifle when you need to make a shot.

oh well, might try it but I bet hand warmers are nothing like 100% natural crotch warmth, isnt it? Might be difficult for running but meh, I aint a good runner anyways

I run a Mac11 with an extended mag, I plan on wrapping a hand warmer around the end of the mag and taping it there for cold games :P

played in as cold as -35 (though that extreme didnt last lon and ended up around a fire with a bunc of other airsofters).
