What are the Best m4/m16/scar Magazines
Hi all
I would like to know what is the best m4/m16/scar magazines brand ? STAR, MAG, Matrix, Tokyo marui, Magpull and all the others .... help me :P |
I got a few boxes of the King Arms 68 rounders that seem to run well in my VFC 416 & SCAR L.
|
For the price, King Arms mags are great. They're metal and hold a good number of rounds. Be aware that sometimes they have feeding problems but the solution is quite easy (and has been posted on ASC numerous times). STAR also makes good, tough mags for quite cheap but they're plastic and are low caps which some people have an issue with.

You forgot to say please.
No help from me. Jk ;) I have the magpul pts (not the star or whatever knock off) 120rds midcap. Made out of Dupont polymer....extremely durable. Feeds perfectly straight out of box, no chance of it breaking anytime soon. But they are quite expensive. Hope this helps. -Brett |
It depends on exactly what your emphasis is on and also the manufacturer of the gun. Obviously TM mags work best in TM guns, CA mags in CA guns, etc. I haven't heard of any problems with Star mags in anything. Mag mags seem to be the affordable choice for metal mags along with King Arms, no one really sings their praises but no one complains about them either.
If you want metal then MAG, TM and CA mags are good but expensive. If you want the realism of exactly the same number of rounds as the real steel then you're going to have to go with Star. Star is the only manufacturer that I know of that makes realcap mags, unfortunately they're plastic but they're still really tough. I'd stay away from King Arms mags unless you get them for a steal cause they tend to have feeding issues. Yeah, it's fixable, but why bother when you can buy mags that work right out of the box. MAG also has plastic midcaps ( around 130 rds)they feed well and they cost about 40$ for a box of 8 mags on Ehobby....
|
not to be off topic but they're is a degsing nation given to the M16 magazine pattern because it is no longer just used buy m16's the term is Stanag magazine
this stands for STAndard Nato Arms Group magazine |

NO offense intended whatsoever. -Brett |
I've been using King Arms 68 round metal mags in my CA M15, JG HK416 and custom C8, and they're always worked without issue. With basic maintenance (occasional light lubrication), they alway feel reliably right to the last 2-3 BBs, which is normal for King Arms. Their follower protrudes farther out of the mag than most other brands, so you only end up with 2-3 BBs that don't feed instead of the 5-6 with other mags. And they're quite affordable too.
If you want cooler looking mags, then definitely the Magpul ones are the way to go, but they also cost more. So it all depends on how much you're willing to spend and the look you're going for. |

|

Thank you Drag !! :)
|
do you know what is the best website or place to buy M4 magazines
|
|
I use G&P M16 VN (short), CA, and S.Arms mags in my M4. All mid caps and none have feed issues unless I forget I have black BB's loaded..... :D
|
get AV'd there are tons in the classifieds.
you can order M4 mags from anywhere, they will cross the boarder no problem. |
Also might be a good idea to find someone local who has the brand your after and test them. Some guns can be really picky with what kinds of mags work with them. My ICS CQBR will not feed at all with King Arms metal mags or Magpul PMAG's (the real ones at least, never tried the "green line" ones made by STAR.) I know several other people that have guns that refuse to work with certain types of mags. King Arms metal lowcaps seem to be the least compatible and I have as of yet to run into a gun that doesn't work with TM lowcaps or STAR realcaps.

ok thanks LUTINIT does someone know what magazines work better in a VFC scar ?

You've asked a million questions on many basic things. Stop posting and take time to look through and read what people have said in the past.

Nice Thanks For your help you clarified me a lot !

I know this isnt my thread but, does anyone know what feeds well in a G&G SCAR L?
|
I have TM, Magpul 120 midcaps, and King arms 68 rds mags. m
They are all excellent. The bang for buck is King arms, you have a higher chance of lemon mags that need to be modified. |

[edit] I just ordered the Star 10-pack from ehobby. $53 CAD and change delivered to my door in about 10 days. Best deal I could find. Couldn't find any metal locaps for anything close to that price. |
It's normal , metal mag are 10$ each :P

I just received my Star Mags from Ehobby. Amazing. I ordered them 6 days ago, got them in the mail already. For about $53, I can't complain. Ten black mags with the H&K trades on them. They feel ok, hold about 30 or so rounds, just like I wanted. Good feed, only one or two wasted BBs. The only quirk about them is they don't drop when I hit the mag release. A little tug is required, but not a big deal. I'd still like to get some locap metal mags for $10 each though..... |
I always found the MAG mids brilliant. The only perceptible flaw I could find was they had a seam that would split if you try to load too many BBs.
Haven't had as much experience with STAR, but their realcaps are all right, and their MP5 mids are much better then the MAG ones. I also have some DBoy mags, 68 rds and 10 USD (sorry, dunno how much it'd be in CAD) a pop. The QC is off and size can vary. Reliability is marginal at best. |
