well... hearing this, why dont i just spend another 20$ and get the KWA glock 19 instead... right? it seems pretty good. the only bad thing ive heard about it so far is the weak recoil sock spring... can anybody confirm?

Depends on what you want and actual quality. I don't know if anyone has actually compared these two in the long term. But it's your preference I guess. HFC with a metal slide and rumors of bad quality, or KWA for more money and plastic slide. And where did you find the KWA for $220?

The KWA glocks are the same as buying a tiwan version ksc glock, so you may end up with poor (but repairable) peices in the hammer asembly.

My more recent ksc glock is a TW version, and has yet to fail me.
I bought ksc, because only they have the HW (heavy weight rubberized plastic) lower frame on their g19...

kwa comes stock metal slide btw.

i think in that case its smarter to go with the kwa g19 and buy an enhanced recoil spring because i heard the blow back was a little weak. maybe thats just with regular green gas, but ill be using propane so ill see how i like the blowback. heard its smarter to go with getting a spring though anyways. anybody know where to buy metal magazine-latches? i heard the ones on the KWA are plastic and would wear down sooner or later..

Lucky you that it still works. You must have got one of the few non-lemons :P

For performance glocks, I still recommend these two:

Either a KSC G19.
or a TM G17.

or a TM G17 or CYMA G17 AEP. If you don't care for blowback.

I have experience with KSC's older glocks, (KSC G17 and KSC G34). And it's just too hard to get them reliable.

Personal Experience with HFC
Its best to have tried the HFC Glock 17 for more than a month to fully know its capabilities

As for lemon rates I never had a problem, always test fired and ready to go. If you want a gun that performs surprisingly well the Glock 17 is good. When Jugglez comes back I'll be going to check if KSC parts are compatible with it. Which in turn can help the owners of it now know the upgradability. But you really don't need upgrade the HFC Glock 17 it has good gas efficiency, a good blow black, and the cooling down effect is really good.

Drawbacks
OF course there are drawbacks. At the moment no one really knows or has not tried to see the upgradeability of the gun. There are lemons out there but the fruit of the lemons seem to be in the magazines they leak. You either get one that never leaks or one that leaks like hell.

I am not singing HFC here but to reiterate again, the most common drawback you will mainly face is leaky mags so when buying ONE make sure to ask that FIRST! "Is it leaky? or does it have a minor leak?"

How do I know it leaks?
When testing the gun hold the mag really close to your ear. Close your eyes if you have to, to increase your hearing sense and listen. If theres no sound congrats you have a non-leaky mag. To further test it fill the mag up and drop a silicone oil, if you see minor bubbles coming from the gas entry port then it has a minor leak.

Conclusion
Sure some people may think ewww HFC but the guns that HFC got right were its Glock 17 and M90 (Semi-auto)

For more HFC G17 questions PM me but I think I already said most of what I need to say here

Many people?

Yes I know you had a busted lemon. But thats not your fault its whoever sold it to you should have tested it properly.

I dropped mine in sand and dropped it on its handle and dropped 2 mags (Yes clumsy) but its still kicking.

But yes the drawback is you have to test these guns before buying, while other brands you most likely do not if its new.

Which part broke down?

I am not saying there is no lemon rate but I have personally have not experienced any lemons thus far and would not give away lemons for peoples hard earned money
