So we need to trust china to make a 3000PSI pressure vessel of a non-standard shape. Awesome.

Personally, I'd trust Valken or any other big Paintball name to execute such an idea. But no way would I trust an asian(except for maybe japanese) company. |

It's not necessarily that I wouldn't trust a major company to make a non-cylindrical high pressure vessel (although I wouldn't), it's that I also wouldn't trust anyone to care for that pressure vessel properly.
People used to be worried about buffer tube lipo's turning into pipe bombs. Well a 4000psi pressure vessel right next to your head is significantly more dangerous lol |

Considering this an industry that moves fairly slowly, this is what I hope to see in the near future...
Stock guns incorporating the r-hop technology from the factory , in the form of a molded contact patch that would fit perfectly in the barrel window. Having control over the manufacturing of both the barrel and bucking should facilitate this.

Think too far ahead even with that lol
I think we should want high quality barrels coming stock before they open the can of worms that is stock Rhops, there's just too much that can go wrong. Flat hop might not be too difficult to do, more difficult to screw up. Keep in mind you're going to put in WAY more attention to detail than a chinese factory worker ever will when you do the mod yourself lol |

Factory R-hops? The old ladies in china that assemble our airsoft guns don't even bother to slap more than a few random shims in there, you think one of them is going to sit there and properly R-hop a barrel?

I'm not sure why, if it's that dangerous, we should trust the tank sitting on our spine either, which is where guys put it now. If I had to guess the future this won't happen, because the manufacturers don't care that much, they still make money building crappy AEGs. But I can wish. |

I wanna say gas snail drums.
But I'm gonna say newer manufacturing techniques may result in lower production costs. Location: YYZ VOR 062 radial, 17.5 DME FL5280 |

For years paintballers have been using 4500psi tanks on their guns and the only time there has been injuries are when theres user error. They are totally safe. Unless you do something stupid like put gun lube in the fill nipple. The 3000psi 13ci tank in the stock has been on the market for a number of years now and various companies use them. It would not take much for the airsoft industry to use it on their own stuff.

As in, the shape of an M16 stock, except with 4000psi in it. |

We have had small stock tanks for quite a while now.
The problem is they look like shit... The tanks that have been used for years are all cylinders of the easiest shape to safely make for pressure vessels, and also made very well by trusted manufactures. What TC is saying is they he would not trust china manufactures to make non cylinder shaped pressure vessels.

Yeah, I don't expect assembly lines hand fitting R-hop xD
What I meant was, stock hop up rubbers with an r-hop like mold, which perfectly match the inner barrels window. An open end squared window, like those seen in gbbs, should make installation in assembly line, almost fool proof. In any case, even third party manufacturers have sloppy tolerances in this industry. I guess expecting manufacturing consistency out of this hobby is almost unrealistic xD Hopefully the next big thing will be the TM GBBR !
