Yes, by far the CA M24 is the most rugged and heaviest of sniper rifles (I fell on mine backwards while it was slung on my back, the barrel landed in a Y tree truck about 6" off the ground, and the rest of it bore my upper body weight on large rocks.......... my scope shifted a bit due to the adjustment dust covers, but still worked great all day long), and takes APS2 parts in some areas and AEG parts in others. VSR 10 has a hollow stock that drives my cheekbone nuts when I've shot them. And the VSR has serious sear issues, even after installing upgraded sear, they still snap on a 400fps upgrade. Literally only a $160US Zero Trigger will prevent the sear problem. |

+1 for the VSR-10
I've got a PDI cylinder set, laylax barrel and firefly hopup rubber, shoots 400fps and the BB doesn't stray left or right even when you arc your shot beyond the sight of the scope lol Dead accurate and Dead silent too at 400fps ![]() |

The loudest part of a spring rifle is the spring release noise... Add a hollow stock onto that and it's multiplied by quite a bit...
You fill the stock, it reduces the noise by quite a bit ![]() Same goes for any sniper rifle my old L96 was foam-filled. It adds a nice bit of weight too. |

Damn..... couldnt imagine anymore weight in an L96.... mine was already running in close to 12 lbs. with the scope and bipod, thing was a bloody tank to carry.

And, since it's been asked of me and I can also access the link, here's a list of parts I put in mine years ago (I have the Laylax 150 spring and 9mm guide though, as well as the upgraded CA cylinder that came with the gun........ and last year installed a PDI hop up chamber........... oh ya, have an RH65 hop up rubber in there now as well.) http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums...?topic=38546.0 |

Actually, you kindof did. I said a really good sniper platform is going to cost a ton of money. You said not really because all you need to do to a gas system is stick in a TB.... but a gas sniper rifle isn't a really good sniper platform.
