Got the 226
Just received my TM P226 from Mark Anderson. Great looking piece! It is my first airsoft gun and will definitely not be my last.
I have the following questions. Could those in the know chime in? 1) I was thinking of buying a propoane adaptor to save on gas costs. Are there any issues with this? 2) The instructions are in Japanese. My Japanese isn't great (ie non existent). Do TM not print any english instruction? 3) Cannot seem to find a safety catch. Is there one? Thanks Last edited by ekfc63; September 2nd, 2007 at 19:27.. |

TM is a japanese company, they do have some english but it's direct translations which usually never make sense lol.

I run prop in my p226 brand new(i ordered mine a day or 2 before you, as i saw the other one leave stock) and no problems so far
The instructions are not important except for explosion diagrams and unless you can't read pictures your fine |

as for a safety on the P226, the real steal doesn't have one but if I remember correctly, the TM version has one. In the picture I attached I think the safety is where the arrow is pointing. I believe you pull it out slightly (or push the other side) but Im not sure so please do NOT quote me on this lol.

Ya your bang on with the safety it will still allow you to pull the trigger but it blocks it at about a half pull

My TM P226 arrives in about 3 days, it'll be nice using an airsoft version of a gun I've shot the real steal of lol!

You know, for the price of the gun and the kit, you could buy a real sig sauer. You would then have to bury your friends in your backyard after airsoft matches. |

One more question: Can the hop up be adjusted on the TM P226? |

ya you do need to remove the slide but its just as easy as pulling back a charging handle except it takes 3 seconds longer

Serious? You must have a really slow thumb.
I can release my slide in less than half a second. It takes me longer to pull back a charging handle all the way. |
