From my experience, most police are completely unaware that airsoft even exists. Who here still remembers the incident with Wildcard and the OPP officer?

So yes, paintball etc is legal. In addition, they are allowed private games that use Simunition, tear gas, and other things that you are NOT allowed by civilians.

There are a few members that play her in alberta. They dont advertise it though for obvious reasons. The last thing they need is every gun slinger comming up and unloading their gripes. They play with select guys and they go home.

An Act unbefitting of an active officer is a reason they cant play, if its even brought up as an issue is what im told. However its probably best they just dont talk about it much.

Heck, a fellow officer of one of them showed up to the staging area between games in his police cruiser to visit on a Saturday, was interested in the airsoft guns (even fired off the M249 from his trunk). Cops are warey of airsoft for obvious reasons, but in private and controlled areas like where responsible persons play, they feel comfortable and show a lot of interest in the guns and the game, and ask about the legality of them.

LOL....the same cop fire my Deagle. His exact words were, "Too bad they don't issue us these!".

So to answer the question, yes there are police offices who play.
