I am beginning to get in touch with people in my area who can help me attend games, but only managed to connect with one so far. I'd really love to start participating in games.

Are you kidding me?! Go onto op-for.ca, or bcairsoft.com, lots of age verifiers on both forums. Contact "Moto" or "optix"on this forum..
