Dang, in that case I will have to keep myself from being tempted to put it on fully auto to much. I've got seven guys coming out tommorow and I don't want to run out of battery. I need to get another when I can get down to extreme tactics next.

![]() Is it bad for the battery to start charging it before it is completely out? |

depends what kind of battery it is. chances are since it is a kraken it will be a fairly cheap battey so you probably shold wait till it is pretty much dead before you charge it.

Don't recharge the battery until it's completely drained. Ni-Cad batteries will die very prematurely if they're not properly discharged and recharged. Never charge until it's drained, and never under or overcharge it.
Check the mA rating on the charger and compare it to the battery. Divide the number of mA from the charger into the mAh rating of the battery. That's how long (in hours) it should be charged. As for durability, some Krakens are beasts that will last tens of thousands of rounds without issue. Others are lemons and will break after a few rounds. You seem to have gotten a good one. But take note that parts will wear out even in a high quality AEG. Being a cheap, Chinese-made clone, expect the Kraken's internals to wear out even faster than a quality gun.

it is called a mag (people will yell at you about this later). also good idea, it sucks to get a dead battery in the middle of a game

yeah, assuming its a Ni-Cd, you need to fully discharge it before you recharge it, you can buy a discharger for not too much, but your really better off buying a decent Nihm battery....

Another option is to get yourself a computer case cooling fan. Connect the battery to it and let it run until it's fully discharged. Then recharge it. That way, you're discharging your battery without wasting BBs and not putting wear and tear on your internals.

Wow I just went and finished using my battery for the kraken, I didn't even get two full mags. Thats like 600 bbs, cause the second mag it only shot half out. Now i'm really starting to wonder if 6 hours was enough. Maybe I should try for eight? I just wouldn't want to fry my battery before my game tommorow, havn't got to use this gun in combat yet!

well, do the math, somewhere on your charger it should have ouput, probably 250Mah or 500 Mah for a wall charger...
If your battery is a 1300 then.... 1300/250 = 5.2 hours 1300/500 = 2.6 hours Def not more then 6 dude, if your only getting 2 mags, its possible you fried your battery, or maybe you have a really really slow charger...

Well I got one and a half mags full, and that seems like way to little.
Output mA: 300 Battery mAh: 1200 should give me: 4 hours It does say in the instructions that I should charge for 11 hours. I would have done this, except for the fact that the guy at cabelas said, charging it for 6 to 7 hours is enough. I don't want to frie my battery, but I doubt it would have been fried in six hours, and six hours obviously wasn't enough. Think I should try it for 11 hours? Thanks, -Dylan |
