Re: mechbox issues
If a new battery, large type, doesn't pull it and a reshim doesn't help, look into a new motor.
I know a couple of people that had a similar issue and swore up and down that the shim job and bettery were 100% sound. Your wires heat up when the gear box locks because you are still sending power down the wires everytime you pull the trigger. Since the electricity cannot be released in spinning the motor, it comes out as heat. |

Sounds to me like the battery isnt big enough. What kind of spring are you using in the box?

Still believe it's
Electrical Short, (burnt out contacts) Shim Terrible Battery. How old are the batteries and what are you using to charge them? |

A guy brought me a MP5 that wouldn't fire with his 9.6 large 4200 pack, Intellect cells and they where brand new from a hobbyshop. I plugged in my 7.4 lipo and it wouldn't turn over.
Opened up the gearbox and the contacts where charred black and the plastic had melted and the switch that is the semi device was completely melted. His motor turned over my M120 gun without a problem. Without a pile more information or it in our hands it's going to be difficult to diagnose. |
