Laptop Battery cells in aeg's

I Have a few laptop batteries that are still hold a charge and I had no use for them, so I was thinking they could make very good aeg batteries being Li-ion they have a mAh of 3900 and the total voltage of all the cells is 10.1. Each cell is about 1.7 volts. I am going to run this in a JG m4, and I was wondering If should run the close to normal 8.5 volts or 6.8 because Of a higher amperage.

Not a good idea. AEGs draw anywhere from 10-20 amps when firing which is far beyond the capacity a laptop battery was designed to provide. Given that most lithium-based chemistries are much more unstable than nickel-based ones, I would not want to chance overloading one.

Worst case scenario involves something going boom.

wow, 3900mah? what batteries are you using, most laptops run off 18650 connected in parallel.

If you discharge your cells completely without a PCB your batteries will explode.
