Will this be ok?
I'm looking into getting a HFC VSR-11. Could I buy the gun and a spring (say 120) and just put it in there and it would raise the velocity. Or would I NEED to get all the other junk. Thanks. If anyone could answer this it would be great.
But you might not want to answer it becuase one day I might play vs. you and pwn you you, haha Last edited by AMetalSplinter; December 1st, 2006 at 22:04.. |

strictly speaking, yes... yes you can buy the gun and install a stiffer spring and raise the velocity. yes.

the reason for "all the other junk" is that a stiffer spring will put increased wear and tear on other parts of the rifle. So don't be surprised if your vsr breaks after a bit.

120 spring isnt THAT much of a difference, would the gun really wear down that much faster?? I mean, it isnt exactly a 450fps upgrade or anything real special

The tension put on the insides is great alrady and adding more ca;t help the fact that physics hate you and something has to give if you cheap out and do a half hearted upgrade spend the extra money and get a total upgrade and it should last you till it next breaks.

Sorry I have no idea I just am passing along someone else's two cents but I wish you best of luck with choosing especially if it is your first gun. And also someone else's words but play with it stock a bit before you upgrade because then you know what to expect.

Kinda raises the question of why it is the "old M16A2" and not the current M16A2 don't it?
And AMetalSplinter try looking for all that "other junk"

Any input Greylocks?
![]() i'm not sure about putting M120s in your USR but putting a SP120 by Laylax will be fine for around 10k rounds. so i suggest putting a SP110 if you don't want to upgrade the other "junk" |
