BOYS m4
I have a TM BOYS m4 that is a friends, and does not fire. Every so often, if you squeeze the trigger on and off, it will fire one shot. So I think it might be wiring. The real question is... how do I open it? I know people have doen it, I just wanna know how.

dont even try to open that thing by yourself... you could very well ruin your buddy's m4 if you do that. take it to a local gun doc and have them take a look for you.

Taking apart the Boys M4 is virtually impossible without breaking somthing..and yes, the problem is the trigger contact.

Buy a better gun, or another boys. It'll be easier and cheaper, if it's even repairable.

We have all these rules about age-verification, and you tell a 15 year old to buy an airsoft gun as a solution?

well it ultimately depends on what age his buddy is, as it is his friends gun.

While I'm in possession, I don't own it. The owner is also under-age, but technically it's his father's (who is a police officer). I am well trained in firearms safety (hunting and target ) and am not an idiot. My age has nothing to do with my maturity (note, you cannot show "a maturity", Firemachine). Can anyone answer my question? I don't care if the body breaks, at least I tried. It cost him $150. He's not going to throw it away. I really can't see how buying a new gun would be "easier and cheaper".

Simply put; they are extremely fragile, nearly impossible to repair. The mechbox and the internals are plastic...
Anyone who knows would charge you more for the repair than the gun is worth. That is why buying another one (and repeating the mistake of getting another crappy gun) is one solution. The other solution is to manage to buy a gun that will last longer. And dont call gun safety training as meaning you'll know how to do it. Gunsmithing is a far different level of skills. If you do the work yourself, the odds are very high that you will break it beyond repair and still have to buy another gun. They are not built to last. Plain and simple. |

All right, thanks. I'll try again to figure it out myself. When I said gun training, I was not referring to any ability to repair the airsoft gun, but as a proof that I am not an irresponsible moron. Please lock this thread.
