Asking Opinions on Electric handguns vs Gas handguns
Ive been shopping around to pick myself up a sidearm. My main concern is i dont want to buy a weapon that may become unreliable *from information people in my community have already given me about this* Anyways i was just wondering what people here though about electric vs gas when it comes in regards to handguns.
Electric :kill: gas *who will win LOL* |

gas for a lot better power. Though I would expect the TM AEP line to probably be reliable just lacking in power.
Not to mention a lot more relistic in terms of operation |

electric handguns = soft air
gas handguns = airsoft gas will blow electric out of the water.

If you are talking about reliability, then gas would win. I think a EBB will break if you drop it. you want to Compare the line of AEP's with GBB's

Conversely you can quickly dry out your GBB by placing it in a prewarmed oven. Preheat the oven until it's quite warm (not hot enough to melt grill marks into the frame and grip though) and turn off the element. Put the GBB onto the rack with the slide locked open and it'll dry pretty quick. I put a big sign on the controls "NOOOOO!!!" to warn anyone from turning it back on to say cook a pie. Do not place a propellant filled mag into the oven.

So how much power are we talking about here? and with upgrades can an AEP be a good all round weapon ?
Or should i just fork over the extra 200.00 for a GBB ? I guess i hsould expalin myself a little more, Basically i enjoy airsoft alot but i cant presently afford to pay 300.00 + dollars for a pistol or even more for a AEG But on the flip side of the coin i dont want to invest any money in something that basically will be a waste of time. thanks for any input. |

Then forget the electric idea. If you want Grim Fandango is bring in KJW GBB guns pretty cheap. Good place to start. He was clearing out his berretta m8000 for $100 bucks and he had some other guns priced very good. But there is no gaurantees on his guns. |

More power doesn't necessarily make the GBB a better weapon.

OK first thing, I dont want to annoy people.
SO i dont want to ask annoying questions that every airsoft newb asks, But my questions are more specific and require direct answers and not general ones that i find concerning types of guns and such. Tokyo Marui for example im looking at 4 or 5 different pistols they have and my general question will they all perform similar to eachother leaving the only real difference in style ? and can EBB guns be modified to allow better performance and better durability ? Again sorry if these questions have been answered somewhere else, and honestly i have looked , thanks for your help Also can the power types be changed the guns ive seen say they run on 3xAAA batteries and lol i dont want to have to pop 3 batteries out of my pocket mid scrim. thanks |

EBB are a waste of money period. Forget about them.
AEP on the other hand do some upgrades and might be able to perform to a satisfactory level. |

I have one of those and I think they are the best... reliable, not too expensive, work well in cold weather, stealthy and very accurate. my 2 cents.
