KJW Glock 23(Metal Version)
Is it just me or is there absolutely no upgradable parts for this gun? I can't seem to find a damn thing! If there are no parts for it how well would it perform with propane?

If it has a metal slide then you should be fine. Use propane all you want, just lube it once and awhile.

If you already bought it, you've made one of the smartest choices already. The gun does not need to be upgraded, it is already kick ass ou tof the box. Use propane ONLY. It works better that way.

Yeah i'd have to agree, there arent very many upgrades for that gun. It runs perfectly fine on propane right out of the box, no upgrades nessessary. Great Buy!
PS- Check out my review in the rewiews section, its the abs slide version but the characteristics of the gun are the exact same cept your slide wont crack ;-) |

awesome i think you guys might have swayed my decision from buying a TM Hicapa 5.1 to the KJW Glock 23, i'm still going to have to think about it though.

The only accessories KJ makes for their G23 is a threaded outer barrel and some funky coloured grips.

You all realise the KJW Glocks use the same internals as the TM Glock 26. You can get metal mag catch, better piston lid (pdi or guarder), better hammer spring, better cyclinder valve and valve retainer...

But they handle propane, are upgraded and full metal out of the box. It blows the TM away.

Rumpel ,the point is they can still be upgraded with better seals, better springs, better mag catch..etc and be able to shoot harder and more reliably. If you compare a stock KJW G23 FMV to a KWA/KSC G19 (metal) the G19 kicks the KJ's ass all over the block. I own 4 KSC G19s and 2 KJW G23s. The G23s suck compared to the G19s.

In the area of?
The KJ G23 I've held and fired was solid, heavy, looked and felt totally real, and like all KJ mags, had absoulutly no leaks. All this out of the box, way way cheaper than upgrading. Why do people always like to do it the hard way?? |

In the areas of accuracy, precision, power, durability, reliability.
The KJs are nice for the money, but there's a reason they are so inexpensive. I can show you multiple links of KJ Glocks having outer barrels break, mag lips break, loading nozzles break, etc. Things Ive never seen occur with a KSC Glock. Not saying KSC Glocks dont have their own problems once in a while, but nothing like the complaining and problems Ive heard with KJW Glocks. I havent had any problems with my KJ G23s simply because I hardly ever use them, I always go for my KSCs. One of the reasons I dont go for them is they shoot with pathetically low power. One thing the KJs have over the KSCs are the full blown trademarks. Cheaper hardly ever means better. You cant beat quality by cutting cost. |

Correct me if im wrong but there isnt a FMV or a KJW Glock 23.... only a metal slide and barrel version and it still has a plastic lower frame.

WGCshop lists properly that the G23 metal version has the HW frame, but their picture is of a plastic slided G23. They even sell the HW frame seperately for those who have the ABS version. Their HW frames are practically identical to the KSC G19 HW frames, much nicer quality than the ABS. Ill post pics after work for you of my 2 G23 FMVs. |
