Question: Spring in Ares G36C
I have a small question: Can i (without breaking my motor) change the spring for a 470 fps ?
The plan would be to change the spring to a 470fps, put this external barrel: http://www.airsoftpark.com/product_i...oducts_id=8897 and put a scope. Tadaaa. A brand new sniper :P Is it dangerous for my gun ?? ![]()

There's one hell of a lot more to making a sniper setup than a spring change.
The short answer is no. The internals won't last long on a spring that hot. 470 is also terrible for ballistics, you'll get better accuracy in the 360-380 range. Also, if you're in Canada, you won't be allowed to game a gun shooting that.

You'd have to do a few more upgrades. You'll need stronger gears and a high torque motor because the stock motor has no balls ( unless you put in an 11.1v Lipo-9.6 might work but I haven't tried it). I got a pretty big headache just going to a 410 spring. In addition... everything Kalnaren said.

Like Kalnaren said, you won't be able to do much at 470fps anyway.
You can have a 360fps gun outrange a 470fps gun easily. Stick to 380fps, use .28g BBs, and upgrade your hop rubber. You'll see instant gains in range and accuracy |
