All aftermath products are chrono'd using .20g BBs! Both Krakens I have owned have chrono'd at 370fps with .20g BBs. In fact a friend had to change the spring in his Kraken so it would shoot 325fps for CQB instead of the regular 380fps.

Or its one of the rare 1st Gen lemons. Seems the first generation Krakens were junk and the 2nd Gen ones that most people buy now are pretty decent.

yep, the 02 gearbox in my cyma cm028 shoots harder than my dboys ver.3 box which chrono's at 336fps with .25's, never had a chance to chrono it tho, Amos just did some work on it so she'll last a while longer now

I think Aftermath knows that noobs go for whatever has high fps in stock form so they use guns that come stock with powerful springs as their rebrand platforms

I figure it this way.

If you're a serious tuner, you'll be upgrading to a metal body anyways. Then you can do something stupid with the clear one (read: Paint it pink and attach a floppy phallic object as a bayonet)

If you know what you're doing.. You can have a full metal / full wood AK for much less than starting with a marui base.

These things are 100% marui compatible.

so far I have not heard of them available in Canada. What I find funny is that they are selling the Kraken on the Aftermath website for $150 USD and yet you get them here for $150-200 CDN. That means the price of the Orphus should roughly stay the same as what they advertise on the website.
