those are nice, i have the K model and am extremely pleased. I just orderd like 300 dollars worth of stuff for it, so hopefully it will look a little more unique in time. again, i cant stress enough how easy it is to snap the charging handle. then again i seem to be the only one to do it yet. A metal one is on the wayto replace it.

Classic Army guns are designed, in stock form, to fit 9.6V batteries as far as I know considering thats what it shows in the manual.
You're looking for a mini pack, properly known as 2/3A cells. These cells come in 600-1400mAh and are all the same size since 2/3A is a standard cell size. It says in the manual that the CA36 will only run off of higher mAh packs so its best to use the 1400mAh cells. Intellect is one of the best battery companies out there so any of their packs are good. The weird packs with the two loose cells that requires you to mod the gun is not made with 2/3A cells, don't know what they are exactly. You want power? Get a battery stock, can fit up to at least 10.8V 4500mAh packs as far as I know. I'm running a 9.6V 3300mAh pack and am considering switching to an 8.4V 4200mAh pack. Also sinking money into a gun isn't that hard, my CA36 is worth about $1200 with the M203 on it. |

Not to play the newb card here, but is it generally accepted that the high amperage batteries (non mini) won't fit into the stock grip for the ca36 fullsize unless you go mod'ing route?

large batts wont work in a foregrip. you need mini, or a custom batt.

The only place, internally, the battery will fit on a G36 is in the foregrip. It's a bitch, I hate it.. took a small chunk out of the front of the foregrip before I caught onto rotating the bayonett lug 180. A large battery would be nice, but there is simply nowhere on the gun to put one.

What max custom battery might fit into standard CA36 handguard?
So far i have there custom 9.6V 1700Ah from Sanyo, but am considering GP 2200Ah 9.6V because of higher Amps (standard 30A, peak 58A).

I see on WGC that Star now makes a full length handguard that will fit an 8.4 3000 in stick format (like an AK battery)
I plan on getting one of those foregrips for my next 36 project (along with 2 of the 3000 packs) |
