Gear sector
After putting numerous upgrades to my TM V3 gearbox, im having feeding issues on full auto. Is a gear sector clip going to fix this issue? Has anybody used one, and did it make a difference?

What gun, and how fast is it shooting (or how big of a battery are you using), and what were the upgrades?
EDIT: I see in your sig that it's an AK. |

Hm. Is that a large battery, and is it shooting fast? If so it might need a sector clip. If it's feeding in semi and not in auto that may be the problem. Does it feed in semi if you're firing kinda fast (at a rate between semi and full)?

ya it feeds flawlessly on semi.

Even when you fire fast on semi? Yeah you might need a sector clip. You didn't mention if it fired fast, or insane fast though on full.

well on my hi-cap it shoots good in full, but sometimes misses a shot in between bursts. but my low caps, only fires on semi, even when going really fast on the trigger.

You shouldn't need a sector clip for the gun. I run at over 30 RPS and have never had to use them.
Things to check are the mags (use somebody elses known-to-work mags in your gun, and use your mags in theirs and see which feed), and the bucking (quickest way to see if the bucking is installed correctly is to chrono the gun and make sure it's at the correct FPS for the spring). After that I usually checkout the nozzle to see if it's too long (easy test... well not as easy with an AK as an M4... but it's to put a .5 to 1mm spacer between the gearbox and the hop-up unit. If the gun feeds fine after the spacer than your nozzle needs to be trimmed). The next step is to go into the gearbox and see if the tappet plate is worn around the area that the nub on the sector gear pulls it back. |

If one mag is working and the others aren't, it's the mags, not the gun.

they were working just fine before the upgrades, which led me to the sector gear clip. I justy ordered one,( they arent that expensive) and will let you know if it works. should be here by friday.

ok i got the gear sector clip installed and feeding is fine now. it wasnt the mags, it was just a feeding issue.

Could have been the speed at which certain mags fed without the sector clip, cause you said that was a problem. But either way it's fixed.
