i like the scar, just not the 2nd gen one.
the only ones making the 3rd gen is VFC, where all others like STAR, CA, and JSL are all 2nd gen. i know which one i'll be picking up.

I think the problem with using a V3 is attaching the motor housing inside the tiny M4 grip- there just isn't enough room, and the V3 mechs' don't have anywhere to screw the grip on from the bottom.

The nice thing about the SCAR is the lower reciever just drops away as shown in the photo. That means you could convert a L to H and back and forth. You could also in theory fit better parts as they come down the line without a blink. They'd have to stick with contacts vs. wires but it seems that near to accurate field stripping is becoming a selling point.

you cant really change out the lowers because the upper in the L model is not long enough to fit the lower guts and the larger mag that the H model has.

As with the real steel the upper is the same part/length. The magwell is longer on the H-not the receiver.

The FN SCAR upper is not polymer. It is made from extruded aluminium.
