Which battery for a G&P M4A1?
Quick suggestion needed:
In a G&P M4A1, would it be better to run a 9.6 1100 MAH butterfly or a 9.6 1700 MAH? Is the only difference the length of time before the battery would run out? I am asking because I have researched the AEG's itself, and of course different retailers each say a different size. I also noticed they seem to change what is "best suited" to match what they have in stock.. The price is cheaper of course for the 1100 mah, so would an option be to buy 2 of the 1100's to out last of the 1700's? -SINN |

The 1700 will probably give you a SLIGHTLY higher ROF, but beyond that the only difference will be how long it lasts. If it were my gun, I'd be buying a 2500mAh or 2700mAh butterfly, just because I hear the G&Ps are really hard to crank.

Only difference is the how long the battery will last.
You are better off with 9.6v 1700mAh Butterfly batteries. 2 of the 9.6v 1700mAh should last you all day and then some. |

9.6V on a stock gun will kill it the gears and get very hard on the piston.
Just to give you a heads up. If the gun is stock, go 8.4 with a high MAH. |

Hi,
Thanks for the heads up. I forgot to mention it is the full metal G&P that is at 420 fps, not the standard one. |

I have a G&P M4A1 Commando, and get the 9.6v 1700Mah NiCD battery the only battery you will need for that gun.

mine runs on a 8.4v 600mah. ROF kinda sucks though shooting 430 fps using 0.36g bb.

I'm kinda puzzled. A tiny little 8.4v 600mah can crank over a gun that is shooting that high? My 8.4v 600 had a hard enough time cranking my 400fps G3SG1. Also 430fps with .36g bb's........WHY do you have a gun that powerful? |

oh, I have a 2 acre backyard. I need to drop the weight down to a 0.3 gram bb. mine right now just drops like a stone after 40 metres. I can see the distinct curvature in my sights. But the punching power is insane when I hit metal grates and tree trunks.
I don't play airsoft games. I don't really have time, even though I'm sure it's really fun. I just like to shoot at targets for now. V-dog |

sorry, one more thing, let me tell u, it has its fair share of jams here and there on a 8.4v 600mah battery.
