![]() The older model VFC had better trades IMHO. Unless they've changed them again. Last edited by Donster; November 16th, 2011 at 16:30.. |

Here is what I am talking about, unfortunately this is not a high res photo.
![]() The photo is from Wikipedia http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi.../92/HK416N.png ![]() You will notice that the trades on the side are different from the US "416D" ("D" standing for "Defense") The "D" was used as far as I know to denote the H&K US version. The German version has different markings. Last edited by Master Blaster; November 17th, 2011 at 02:34.. |

From what I can see, the German version of the HK416 does not have the "D" designation or the "Heckler & Koch Defense Inc. Sterling VA". It says "Heckler & Koch GmbH" and "Made in Germany" on the other side of the receiver. I went on the German HK website, and though the pics are not high res, I'm pretty sure there are a few google images large enough to confirm the trades.

As well, it looks like there is a coat of arms below the writing. I have looked for hours and cannot find a good high res photo of the German version of the gun with trades on ether side! |

Maybe try the HK Pro forums; and also search for proof marks instead of trade marks over the net.

On zee German ones it's called the Bundesadler or Federal Eagle. The N underneath means it was tested for Nitrocellulose powder.
