h shaped hop up bucking?
recently came across these h shaped hop up buckings...whats the deal with these things... do they offer better performance, or are they just a waste of money? and if they are better, why?

I've tried a couple and they do help a fair bit. All depends on how well built the rest of the gun is though. If you put one into an otherwise stock Echo or JG, you wouldn't notice as much of an improvement as if you'd put in a tightbore, better hopup sleeve and tune the cylinder end a bit.

That's what I've been using in my G36's and my 416. They work work quite well with the other upgrades I mentioned.

It's a direct replacement for any standard hopup bucking. If the hopup chamber takes a standard bucking, it'll take this. In a nutshell, I don't see why any commonly available AEG should not be able to use it. Most, if not all GBB's, NBB's, AEP's and bolt actions don't use the AEG type hopup system (sleeve & bucking assembly) so it will not work in those. Nor would it work in a PTW as the hopup system is very different with no compatible parts to AEG's
