Rail mount for Kraken
Hey I was just wondering if this can be put onto the Kraken AK-47?

The Kraken doesn't come with the side rail that the mount clamps onto.

Yea that ones good too, but I like this specific mount cause it has the extra rail on the side for an extra attachment, but I guess i'll just be ordering this one.

yea theres nothing on the side of the kraken to side mount scopes unless you buy a metal reciever that has that stuff
i have the one that knivezs posted. i didnt like it and never used it. i dont like that ka one either theres always these two vv or the x47 kit or hell even those tacticool railed hanguards http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=1282 http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=1550

Those seem ok to me, but sadly they are way out of my price range. And I really like this rail, this may be stupid question, but does anyone know where I can get a metal receiver so I can get this rail?

yea well there really isn't much i can do about that now lol. If I get another expensive gun(expensive for me) it won't be another AK.
But anyways, I found another thing that looks pretty nice, I'm just wondering if it will work for the Kraken. And it will hold a scope too with the rail on the top right? http://buyairsoft.ca/catalog/product...roducts_id=342 Also I keep seeing, "Marui Compatible AK-47's", does this include the Kraken? Why not drill and tap the side of your receiver and use allen screws to attatch it to your gun. That how I mounted everything on mine.

Hmmm that sounds like a good idea...but i'm not exactly sure how i'd do that. I might be able to get some help from my dad though...do you think you could go into a more detailed explenation of how you did this?
Oh and I'm assuming this would work for the first rail mount I posted, the ICS double rail one, right? Thanks, DP |

Well if the rail fits the profile(shape) of your gun it will work.
I bought several weaver rails and a weaver/dovetail rail. Then I just drilled into the guns casing(be careful not to hit the electronics) and tapped the holes. But you dont really need to tap the holes, you could always use sheetmetal screws. Then use the screws to hold the rails in place. |
