Compatible Gearbox
If a gearbox says that it's for an M16A2 and another gearbox says that it's for an SR-16/M4, which one would be compatible with a G&P USMC SAM-R AEG?

The M16A2 one. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the only differences are that one is wired to the rear and the other to the front

This one is for the M16A2:
![]() and this one is for the SR-16/M4: ![]() It looks like they're both wired for the rear, but the one for the SR-16/M4 has a hole in the cylinder for inner barrel length differences. |

If you have a standard M4 length inner barrel, get the one with the ported cylinder. If you have an M16 length inner barrel, say housed in a suppressor, get the non-ported cylinder.
