I replaced the crappy 20 gauge wire on a team mate's CA with some 16 gauge I had laying around and the RoF jumped from 700 rpm to around 1100 and the trigger became much snappier.
Similar with the G36, the mechbox is connected to the fuse (and then to the battery) with a shitty strand attached with a pair of mini-tamiya. Once this is removed it works much better.
